Depending on who you ask, Trevor Lawrence is the consensus #1 or #2 Quarterback -- and overall player, for that matter -- in the country. He’s thought to be a generational talent, and ever since he committed to Clemson during his Junior season, Tiger fans have eagerly anticipated the day he would arrive on campus.
Well, he may not be on campus yet, but that doesn’t mean Clemson fans have to wait to see what their prized, blue-chip recruit can do. Lawrence will lead his Cartersville Purple Hurricanes against Troup this Friday night on the NFHS Network.
This is the second time this season that the 6’6, 210 lbs gunslinger will appear on the Network, and it’s an opportunity that Clemson, Cartersville, and frankly football fans can’t pass up.
With Lawrence at the helm, Cartersville has won 39 straight games – a streak spanning three seasons, including two state championships. They’ve risen to #2 in the state of Georgia and #27 nationally.
To put his career into perspective, Trevor passed DeShaun Watson two weeks ago to become the state of Georgia's all-time leading passer.
Tune in FRIDAY at 7:30 pm ET and watch one of the most talented signal-callers to come along in years.
