HOW YOU CAN BE NAMED A SELECT OR ELITE SCHOOL

Our School Recognition Program requirements have been updated for this school year.  Schools that meet the following criteria will earn the distinction of being recognized as a Select or Elite School.  Select Schools demonstrate excellent broadcasting skills, and Elite Schools not only have excellent broadcasting skills, but also excel in promoting their events and generating funds for their schools.

SELECT SCHOOL CRITERIA

 Required:

  • Schedule season games in advance
  • Broadcast 30+ live sporting events
  • Must cover 4+ different sports
  • Must cover regular season events
  • Must produce quality broadcasts
    • Use Producer graphics and game clocks
    • Include videos/commercials
    • Have audio commentators
    • Advanced production hardware setups (ie., video mixer, etc.)
  • Contribute to the NFHS Network
    • Cut highlights
    • Refer other schools
  • Involvement in selling Discount Annual or Season Passes
  • Engagement in marketing initiatives

 Preferred:

  • Cover away games
  • Have your own broadcast brand
  • Produce Network events

ELITE SCHOOL CRITERIA

Meets all Select School required and preferred criteria above in addition to the following:

  • Broadcast 40+ live sporting events
  • Must cover 5+ different sports
  • Must have student participation/school integration
  • Must have sold 100 passes or 50% codes redeemed

There will be approximately 35 schools selected for Elite status and will be ranked accordingly based on the requirements above.  Those schools that meet Elite status, but fall outside of the top 35, will automatically fall into the Select category.  The same ranking system will be in place for Select Schools.  The selection process will start in June, and the new honor roll will be announced in August of 2016.
