This is the kind of Friday that high school football fans DREAM of.

When you can't make room for national powerhouses such as Hoover (AL), Mission Viejo (CA), and the McCaffrey-factory known as Valor Christian (CO), you KNOW you're in store for a special week.

Every single one of our Games of the Week features at least one team ranked #1 or #2 in their respective state, and all ten teams featured are in their state's top 20 - not to mention the #1 team in the COUNTRY

Posted by Jacob Plunkett on 9/28/17 1:39 PM

It's hard to believe it's almost October.

Feels like just last week we were gearing up for the opening games of the high school season, but here we find ourselves, halfway through the regular season. Most of the flashy, interstate or out-of-region games are behind us; and while those are fun to watch, now is when a team makes or breaks its season.

As region play gears up, the teams know each other better -- rivalries add new chapters, and every game has playoff implications.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy another edition of the NFHS Network's Games of the Week:

Another (perhaps lesser known) aspect of the Network is that it provides schools and state associations with an additional revenue stream - a portion of the money made off of subsciptions goes back to them - to use how they see fit.
