Georgia Games of the Week - Week Three

Posted by Jacob Plunkett on 9/1/16 2:10 PM

It's already Week Three in the great state of Georgia, and high school football is in full swing.

Coaches that scheduled tough out of region games are gaining valuable experience. Coaches that didn't...well at least their records are pretty.

As always, we have a great slate of games in the Peach state. Check out our Games of the Week, and be sure to watch along with us this weekend!

Cartersville vs. Calhoun

Friday, September 2nd - 7:00pm ET

Cartersville is currently ranked as the #1 team in Class AAAA, whereas Calhoun is #3 in Class AAA. Cartersville is led by quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who is regarded as one of the best players in the country, while Calhoun is led by dual threat quarterback Baylon Spector.

Benedictine vs. St. Pius

Friday, September 2nd - 7:30pm ET

The last meeting between these two resulted in a 35-0 win by St. Pius, but Benedictine is a much different team now, having won a state title two seasons ago. Benedictine is currently ranked #2 in Class AA, while St. Pius is #6 in Class AAAA.

Peachtree Ridge vs. Mays

Friday, September 2nd - 7:30pm ET

Both of these talented teams are coming off one point losses. We'll see who is able to put last week behind them as the Lions travel to Atlanta to take on Mays.

Thomson vs. Jefferson

Friday, September 2nd - 7:30pm ET

This game pits #3 in Class AAAA Jefferson against #4 Thomson. Thomson leads the all-time series 6-2-2, but the two teams haven't played since 1963.
